Basketball Recap: Minneota Takes a Loss

Minneota was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights 73-39. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Knights are ranked 98th).

Minneota's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minneota won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Tracy-Milroy-Balaton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, they will face off against Murray County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
