Volleyball Recap: Farmington Falls Despite Big Games from Kole Riebe and Kylee Day

Farmington had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 0-5 to make it four. They fell just short of the Viewmont Vikings by a score of 3-2. The Phoenix were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.

Farmington's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kylee Day, who had 36 assists and ten digs, and Kole Riebe, who had nine digs. Day is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.

As for Viewmont, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since September 28, 2024.

Addison Pinnock had an outrageously good game as she had 17 digs and two aces.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Farmington will head out to square off against American Fork at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Viewmont, they will take on Taylorsville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
