Basketball Recap: Archbishop Carroll Takes a Loss

Archbishop Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 54-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Conwell-Egan Catholic Eagles.

Leading Conwell-Egan Catholic to victory were Olivia Dellavecchio and Lily Milewski. Dellavecchio went 9 of 19 on her way to 24 points and three steals, while Milewski almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 16 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Dellavecchio a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariella Parks, who posted eight points.

Archbishop Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Archbishop Carroll will take on Bishop O'Connell in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 49-42 loss against Seneca Valley on the 15th.
