Basketball Recap: Mt. Carmel Takes a Loss

Mt. Carmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Pinckneyville Panthers, falling 77-17. The contest marked the Golden Aces' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Mt. Carmel's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Pinckneyville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Mt. Carmel won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Salem at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pinckneyville, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Pinckneyville Panthers face off against the Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
