Volleyball Recap: Reed-Custer Takes a Loss

Reed-Custer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-11.

Reed-Custer's offense was headlined by Makenzi Thompson and Madelynn Marschner, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Reese Brown and her four assists.

Reed-Custer's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Reed-Custer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Dwight on the 27th. As for Gardner-South Wilmington, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Wilmington on the 28th.
