Soccer Recap: Shady Spring Falls Short of Greenbrier East in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Shady Spring can now relate to. They lost 6-2 to the Greenbrier East Spartans on Saturday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Shady Spring were already down 3-0.

Parker Lester and Micah Smith scored both of Shady Spring's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 30 goals.

Shady Spring's loss dropped their record down to 12-8-1. As for Greenbrier East, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-6-3 record this season.

Shady Spring does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greenbrier East, they will welcome Princeton at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
