Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Delta). They blew past the Moffat County Bulldogs 57-0 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won six matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
Ty Reed continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 229 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also rushing for 59 yards. A healthy portion of Reed's aerial production (118 yards to be exact) went to Landen Horn, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.
Delta was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 208 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moffat County only rushed for 102.
Delta didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jhett Ryan and Dylan Gordan. Gordan is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last four games he's played.
The win was the third in a row for Delta, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. As for Moffat County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Delta is taking a road trip to challenge Coal Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Delta is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Moffat County, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Middle Park at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Moffat County and seven for Middle Park.
