Concordia Lutheran extended their winning streak to eight on Tuesday, bumping them up to 27-16. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the St. John XXIII Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Crusaders have posted since August 14th.

As for St. John XXIII, their loss dropped their record down to 15-19. They haven't had much luck with Concordia Lutheran recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Despite the defeat, St. John XXIII saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Zoe Ramirez had 32 digs and three assists. Those 32 digs set a new season-high mark for Ramirez. Another player making a difference was Reagan Butler, who had eight digs and four aces.

Looking ahead, Concordia Lutheran will take on St. Pius X at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for St. John XXIII, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bellville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
