Lutheran East extended their winning streak to three on Sunday, bumping them up to 16-1. Everything went their way against the Shaker Heights Red Raiders as they made off with a 63-40 win. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season.

As for Shaker Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11. The game marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Shaker Heights saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Dillon Slaughter almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine boards. Slaughter continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chistorpher Cunningham, who shot 86% from the field to rack up 14 points.

Lutheran East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-58 loss against St. Edward on the 10th. As for Shaker Heights, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 78-66 victory against St. Vincent-St. Mary on the 10th.
