Belle Plaine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Peter Saints. Surprisingly, this marked the Tigers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Logan Hoen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits.

On the hitting side, Belle Plaine saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Waylon Friendshuh, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base was Friendshuh's first of the season.

Belle Plaine's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for St. Peter, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belle Plaine will challenge Worthington at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Peter, they will square off against New Ulm at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
