Baseball Recap: Ashby Takes a Loss

Ashby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Fighting Saints, falling 12-1. The Arrows were not able to make up for their loss to the Fighting Saints from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Henry Olson made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Ashby's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ashby will face off against Wheaton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, they will venture away from home to face off against Yellow Medicine East at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
