Basketball Recap: Palmyra Comes Up Short

Palmyra lost against Monroe City back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Palmyra Panthers came up short against the Monroe City Panthers, falling 68-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Palmyra has suffered against Monroe City since February 8, 2022.

Palmyra's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Monroe City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-4.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers duke it out with the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monroe City, they will challenge Centralia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
