Baseball Recap: Briarcrest Christian Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Collierville

Briarcrest Christian faced Collierville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Saints fell 6-1 to the Dragons. The defeat was just more heartbreak for the Saints who fell 2-0 when the teams previously met back in April of 2024.

Briarcrest Christian got a good showing from Lance Bryan, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. That's the fewest hits Bryan has allowed since April 1st.

Briarcrest Christian's loss dropped their record down to 19-11. As for Collierville, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-7.

Looking ahead, Briarcrest Christian will square off against St. Benedict at Auburndale at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Collierville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
