The Central Cabarrus Vikings and the Olympic Trojans will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Central Cabarrus will be strutting in after a win while Olympic will be coming in after a loss.

Central Cabarrus took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They skirted past Butler 39-37. While the Vikings didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Myajah Nix was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 20 boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in December of 2024. Felicity Arevalo was another key player, putting up 12 points.
