Baseball Recap: Oak Ridge Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Oak Ridge's offense. They lost 6-0 to the Meadow Heights Panthers on Tuesday. The Blue Jays have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Cohen Hahs was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits.

At the plate, Oak Ridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Engler, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. That's the most hits Engler has posted since back in April of 2024.

Oak Ridge's record now sits at 0-2. As for Meadow Heights, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1.

Coming up, Oak Ridge will venture away from home to take on Richland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oak Ridge is facing Richland at the right time seeing as Richland is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Meadow Heights, they will be playing at home against Saxony Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
