Soccer Recap: Hutto Comes Up Short

Hutto lost to Vista Ridge back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hippos took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rangers. While losing is never fun, Hutto can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 481st, while Vista Ridge are ranked 171st).

Hutto has also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12-1 record this season. As for Vista Ridge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-8-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hutto will square off against rival McNeil at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Vista Ridge is set to face off against their familiar foe Round Rock Westwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
