Volleyball Recap: Eastern Randolph Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Eastern Randolph was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Asheboro Blue Comets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Wednesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-12, 25-21.

Asheboro's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eva Vuncannon led the charge by getting five digs and three aces. Vuncannon is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last 14 games she's played dating back to last season.

Eastern Randolph now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Asheboro, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Looking ahead, Eastern Randolph will welcome Providence Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Asheboro, they will head out to face off against Jordan-Matthews at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
