Basketball Recap: Manila Skates Past Altamont with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rich, Manila was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 62-33 victory over the Altamont Longhorns. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

Manila's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kamryn Slaugh, who went 8 for 18 to rack up 21 points. Another player making a difference was Kallie Bair, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds.

Manila smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Manila is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points over those games. As for Altamont, they dropped their record down to 4-17 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
