Basketball Preview: Douglass Mighty Ducks vs. Forest Park Foresters
Douglass is 0-10 against the Foresters since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Douglass Mighty Ducks will look to defend their home court against the Forest Park Foresters at 3:45 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Douglass has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while the Foresters will arrive with five straight victories.
Last Thursday, Douglass had to suffer through a rough 58-6 loss at the hands of the Clippers. Douglass has not had much luck with the Clippers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Forest Park earned a 55-45 win over the Yellowjackets on Saturday.
Douglass' loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.3 points per game. As for Forest Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.
Douglass was dealt a bruising 91-0 loss at the hands of the Foresters in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Douglass avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
