Football Recap: Beardstown Tigers vs. West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Cougars
Beardstown had lost six straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-8 to make it seven. They took a blow against the West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Cougars, falling 46-13. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.

Ryker Ford had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 152 yards and three TDs on only nine carries, and also threw for 73 yards and one touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 63 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Tucker Arnold was another key player, gaining 98 total yards and a touchdown.
Beardstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs], they will face off against Camp Point Central at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 4.3 points per game this season, so the Cougars' offense will have their work cut out for them.
