Basketball Recap: Alva Takes a Loss

Alva was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 49-38 to the Woodward Boomers. That's two games in a row now that the Goldbugs have lost by exactly 11 points.

Alva's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Woodward, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Alva will challenge Dodge City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Alva is facing Dodge City at the right time seeing as Dodge City is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Woodward, they will take on Liberal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Liberal: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Woodward has snatched up eight consecutive wins on the road.
