Softball Recap: Lakeview Sailors vs. Farrell Steelers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sharon, Lakeview was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Farrell Steelers with a sharp 19-2 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what Lakeview needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.
For Farrell's part, Giani Scott made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaliayah Mathis, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.
The win got Lakeview back to even at 1-1.
Lakeview will be playing at home against Kennedy Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Farrell, they will head out on the road to face off against Reynolds at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Farrell will come in still looking for their first win of the season.
