Softball Game Preview: The Pingry School Big Blue vs. Warren Hills Regional Blue Streaks

For the second straight game, The Pingry School will face off against Warren Hills Regional. The Big Blue will be playing at home against the Blue Streaks at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (The Pingry School has three straight wins, Warren Hills Regional has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

The Pingry School lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Warren Hills Regional, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's matchup. The Big Blue put the hurt on the Blue Streaks with a sharp 14-2 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Big Blue have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Warren Hills Regional's part, Jalecia Stoddart made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Stoddart launched this season.

The Pingry School's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Warren Hills Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
