The Woodlands had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the MacArthur Generals 10-0 on Thursday. The Highlanders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

The Woodlands got a massive performance out of Jack Smejkal, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Smejkal a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gian Fernandez, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

The Woodlands has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-4-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for MacArthur, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-11 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: The Woodlands beat the Generals by a score of 15-0 on Saturday.
