Gavin Cardoza turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than two earned runs surrendered on Friday. He tossed 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. He was up against Grand Junction and has quite the history against that squad, as he also had a great game the last time he faced them back in May of 2024. Cardoza is becoming a predictor of Fruita Monument's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 7-2 (and 6-7 when he doesn't).
