Basketball Recap: Rushville-Industry Comes Up Short

Rushville-Industry and Delavan squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Rushville-Industry had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Delavan Panthers, falling 58-27. Having soared to a lofty 58 points in the game before, the Rockets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Delavan found their leader in freshman Hudson Briggs, who went 6-for-8 from beyond the arc to rack up 24 points and three steals. Those three steals gave Briggs a new career-high. Grady Burrell was another key player, putting up nine points.

Rushville-Industry's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Delavan, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-19.

As of now, neither Rushville-Industry nor Delavan have any future games scheduled.
