Basketball Game Preview: Macon Tigers vs. Savannah Savages

The Macon Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Savannah Savages at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Macon is looking for their season's first victory.

Macon is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Chillicothe on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Macon was beaten by Chillicothe 63-35. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Hornets are ranked 96th).

Meanwhile, Savannah ended up a good deal behind Chillicothe two weeks ago and lost 62-46. That's two games in a row now that the Savages have lost by exactly 16 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Savannah and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Macon, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
