Baseball Recap: Galatia/Thompsonville's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

While Galatia/Thompsonville put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Pope County. The Bearcats came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 4-0.

The result came thanks to Eli Hankins's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Joey Sais, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Galatia/Thompsonville's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-4. As for Pope County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
