Basketball Game Preview: Adrian Maples vs. Dundee Vikings

The Adrian Maples will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Dundee Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Adrian was able to grind out a solid win over Northwest, taking the game 37-25. Given the Maples' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Mounties are ranked 348th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dundee). The stars were shining brightly for them in a 50-34 victory over Hillsdale on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Dundee's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Adrian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Adrian came up short against Dundee in their previous meeting back in December of 2014, falling 47-41. Can Adrian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
