Recap: Martin Tigers vs. Miller Buccaneers
The Martin Tigers and the Miller Buccaneers squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but sadly the Martin Tigers had to settle for second. Martin took a serious blow against Miller, falling 77-0. While losing is never fun, Martin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 934th, while Miller is ranked 149th).
It was another big night for Broderick Taylor, who rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Taylor's longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Nigel Gladd, who rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Martin now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Miller, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Martin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Miller will face off against Vela at TBD on Friday. Vela is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
