Baseball Recap: Franklin Finds Playoff Glory Versus Xaverian Brothers

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Franklin walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Xaverian Brothers Hawks on Thursday, sneaking past 5-3. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 win the Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in June of 2021.

Franklin is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Xaverian Brothers, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-6.

Franklin has already played their next match (against King Philip Regional), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Xaverian Brothers does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
