Baseball Recap: Richland Rangers vs. Raymond Rangers
Richland stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Raymond Rangers a 12-0 shutout. The victory was just what Richland needed coming off of an 18-6 loss in their prior game.
Jessie Perkins made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Perkins was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Jasper Moorhead was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Ethan Keen, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Richland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Raymond, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10-2.
