Soccer Recap: Connally Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Connally was not quite Hearne's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the Hearne Eagles by a score of 1-0. The Cadets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Connally and nudges their season record down to 2-8-1. As for Hearne, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Connally will host Marlin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hearne, they will welcome Lorena at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hearne's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
