Volleyball Recap: Viburnum Blue Jays vs. Valley Vikings

Viburnum was the 3-1 winner over Valley when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Jays came up short against the Vikings on Friday, falling 3-0. The Blue Jays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Viburnum ultimately came up short, they really made Valley work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-20, 25-22.

Viburnum's offense was headlined by Jadelyn Barton and Alena Maize, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Clara Gibbs and her seven assists. Barton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Viburnum's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Valley, they pushed their record up to 10-3-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
