Volleyball Recap: Dexter Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Emily Delarosa and Melody Duran

After flying high against Cimarron on Saturday, Dexter came back down to earth. Dexter came up short against Des Moines on Saturday, falling 3-0.

Melody Duran and Emily DeLaRosa certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Duran had ten kills, two aces, and one block, while DeLaRosa had 19 assists and six kills. DeLaRosa has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 13 times she's played.

Dexter's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Des Moines, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dexter will challenge Eunice at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Des Moines, they will square off against Kim/Branson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
