Mena has gone 7-1 against Waldron recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bearcats will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Neither Mena nor Waldron posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Mena is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Pottsville just ended the team's 11-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Apaches by a score of 2-0. The shutout was out of character for the Bearcats seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Waldron's offense. They came up short against Dardanelle on Tuesday, falling 13-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Sand Lizards: they've now lost five in a row.

Mena's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 11-3. As for Waldron, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Everything went Mena's way against Waldron in their previous meeting on April 1st, as Mena made off with a 15-0 victory. Will the Bearcats repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
