Football Game Preview: Wiregrass Ranch Bulls vs. Land O' Lakes Gators

The Wiregrass Ranch Bulls will square off against the Land O' Lakes Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Land O' Lakes' offense is going to have their work cut out for them on Wednesday: Wiregrass Ranch hadn't allowed a single point the last three times they've hit the field. Wiregrass Ranch simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Pasco 33-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Bulls just coasted through the last quarter.

Brawner Kaitlyn had an outrageously good game as she threw for 157 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.9% of her passes. Aixa Barrera was another key player, picking up 30 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Wiregrass Ranch didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Amelia Mendez led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself.

Meanwhile, Land O' Lakes put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their match with ease, bagging a 42-0 victory over River Ridge. Given the Gators' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Royal Knights are ranked 137th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wiregrass Ranch better keep an eye on Sophia Spiegel. She was instrumental in Land O' Lakes' win, throwing for 231 yards and six touchdowns while completing 78.6% of her passes, and also rushing for 43 yards. Spiegel is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: she's passed for at least three every time she's taken the field this season.

Land O' Lakes' defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. River Ridge's QB won't forget Sagelyn Witfoth anytime soon given she sacked her twice.

Land O' Lakes' win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Wiregrass Ranch, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
