Baseball Recap: Cameron Extends Winning Streak to Five

Cameron came tearing into Monday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Hartshorne Miners. For the Yellow Jackets, this counts as revenge for the 6-2 win the Miners walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2015.

Cameron got a massive performance out of Canan Sims, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Sims has posted since back in March. Jax Adcock was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and one run.

Cameron always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hartshorne only posted an OBP of .429.

Cameron pushed their record up to 20-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Hartshorne, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Cameron does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hartshorne, they will head out on the road to square off against Tushka at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
