The Stephenville FAITH Knights kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 71-16 defeat at the hands of Community Christian. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Stephenville FAITH in their matchups with Community Christian: they've now lost nine in a row.

Leading Community Christian to victory were Price Horton and Jonathan Blackburn. Horton scored 15 points along with 5 steals, while Blackburn scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. The contest was Blackburn's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Braden Maness, who scored 8 points along with 8 rebounds.
