Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brookville). They put the hurt on the Madison Mohawks with a sharp 21-7 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Brookville got a massive performance out of Maya Haydon, who went 2-for-5 with four runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles Haydon has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Grace Burton, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Brookville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
