Volleyball Recap: Tri Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Camrie Spurgin and Ava Houchins

Tri saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Fountain Central Mustangs.

Ava Houchins and Camrie Spurgin certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Houchins had ten digs and two assists, while Spurgin had 11 assists and seven digs. Houchins has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 12 times she's played.

Tri's defeat dropped their record down to 6-7. As for Fountain Central, the win snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 4-11 record.

Tri wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Indiana Math & Science Academy North on the 20th. As for Fountain Central, they will head out to face off against Frankfort at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
