Carlos Rivas Game Report: vs Bassick

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Thursday Carlos Rivas stepped things up a notch to give Waterbury Career Academy the 'W'. Rivas scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4, which was good enough to set a new career-high in stolen bases.

Coming up, Rivas and Waterbury Career Academy will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Woodland Regional at 4:00 p.m. The Spartans haven't beaten the Hawks recently, having gone 0-5 since April of 2017.
