The third road matchup was the charm for Pioneer, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They came out on top against the Skyline Eagles by a score of 23-13 on Friday. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Pioneer can attribute much of their success to Isaac Henley, who rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns. Those 43 rushing yards gave Henley a new career-high.

Pioneer's run defense was locked in: Skyline could only muster 1.3 yards per carry. The Pioneers didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.7.

Pioneer's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Pioneer will be playing at home against Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Skyline, they will head out to square off against Dexter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Dreadnaughts have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
