Baseball Game Preview: Newark Reds vs. Geneva Panthers

The Newark Reds will head out on the road to face off against the Geneva Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Newark and four for Geneva.

Newark fell victim to Mynderse Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 10-0.

Meanwhile, Geneva didn't have quite enough to beat Greece Olympia on Monday and fell 7-6. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by just one run.

Newark's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Geneva, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Newark came out on top in a nail-biter against Geneva in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Reds since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
