Northwest is a perfect 6-0 against West since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Grizzlies will be playing at home against the Pioneers. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Northwest and five for West.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Northwest's offense. They lost 8-0 to Bishop Carroll on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Northwest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Bishop Carroll are ranked ninth).

Meanwhile, West also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Kapaun Mt. Carmel on Tuesday, falling 9-0.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for West, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1.

Northwest took their victory against West when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Grizzlies repeat their success, or do the Pioneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
