Baseball Game Preview: Pungo Christian Academy Raiders vs. Lawrence Academy Warriors

Pungo Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against Lawrence Academy recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Pungo Christian Academy Raiders will look to defend their home field against the Lawrence Academy Warriors at 3:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Pungo Christian Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Lawrence Academy and fell 5-4.

Evan Woolard was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three RBI.

Woolard wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Carr Eagles, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Eagles has posted since back in April of 2024.

Pungo Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Lawrence Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
