Baseball Recap: Malcolm Beats Lincoln Christian for Their Third Straight Win

Malcolm extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 8-3. They came out on top against the Lincoln Christian Crusaders by a score of 4-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Clippers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2025.

Chase Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Justin Wisnieski was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lincoln Christian fell to 7-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Lincoln Christian's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grant Dehaan, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Malcolm didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-0 win against Douglas County West on the 10th. As for Lincoln Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 7-4 loss against Auburn on the 14th.
