Basketball Game Preview: Scarborough Red Storm vs. Gorham Rams

Scarborough hasn't had much luck against Gorham recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Scarborough Red Storm will head out on the road to take on the Gorham Rams at 5:30 p.m. Scarborough will be strutting in after a win while Gorham will be coming in after a loss.

Last Friday, Scarborough took their match with ease, bagging a 51-20 victory over Massabesic. The Red Storm have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Gorham unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They took a hard 52-33 fall against South Portland.

Gorham's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 11-2. As for Scarborough, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Scarborough came up short against Gorham in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 43-32. Can Scarborough avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
