Volleyball Recap: Standley Lake Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Standley Lake walked away with it. They came out on top against the Lewis-Palmer Rangers by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Gators sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Jojo Martin paced Standley Lake's offense, picking up 25 kills. Martin got some help from Alivia Lambrecht-Gardner and her 24 assists. Finally, Jenna Warwick kept Standley Lake's defense grounded, leading the team with ten blocks.

Despite the loss, Lewis-Palmer still got an impressive performance from Cady Knight, who had 31 digs. Knight has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 25 times she's played.

Standley Lake's victory bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Lewis-Palmer, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 17-9.

Standley Lake has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Lutheran on the 13th. As for Lewis-Palmer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Cheyenne Mountain on the 14th.
