Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Standley Lake walked away with it. They came out on top against the Lewis-Palmer Rangers by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Gators sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Jojo Martin paced Standley Lake's offense, picking up 25 kills. Martin got some help from Alivia Lambrecht-Gardner and her 24 assists. Finally, Jenna Warwick kept Standley Lake's defense grounded, leading the team with ten blocks.
Despite the loss, Lewis-Palmer still got an impressive performance from Cady Knight, who had 31 digs. Knight has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 25 times she's played.
Standley Lake's victory bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Lewis-Palmer, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 17-9.
