Hamburg is a perfect 5-0 against McGehee since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Owls at 4:30 p.m. McGehee took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Hamburg, who comes in off a win.

Hamburg was handed a six-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past Warren 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted since March 7, 2024.

Meanwhile, McGehee suffered their closest loss since April 26, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Harmony Grove by a score of 8-6. The Owls have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Mason Clemons made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. He has become a key player for McGehee: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-4 otherwise. Dakota McMickle was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

McGehee now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Hamburg, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-8.

Hamburg took their win against McGehee in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 29-18 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
